Male: Heaven, father, unity, activity, head.
Female: Mother, child, equality, the passive.
China: Wheat+mouths+balance- food.
China: A woman under a roof.
Russia: The hut of the peasant (family).
Hebrew: Shalom: Whole, complete, safe & sound.
To be holistic: (Healthy & holy): a. Unity of heart.
b. Unity of human beings or mankind. c. Unity of God.
To be Shalom with someone: To be reconciled
Arabic: Salaam : Holistic, complete, total.
Aslaam: Submission to Allah, surrender unto Allah.
Sanskrit: Shanti : Unity, totality; inner peace without duality.
Latin: a. Pacification through submission : Pax- pacare.
b. To make a treaty, fortify, unite.
Greek: No war, armistice, to rest, rest.
Indonesia: a dream
Africa: Benin: As fresh water; creative.
Tibet: Quiet, wise and good words.
In German the following words are related: Friede(peace), Freude(joy), Freund
(friend) and frei (free):
Frei= to love. Jemanden freien (to woo someone).
Freia: The Germanic goddess of love.

Auroville Charter
Auroville belongs to nobody in particular.
Auroville belongs to humanity as a whole.
But to live in Auroville, one must be the willing servitor of the Divine Consciousness.
Auroville will be the place of an unending education, of constant progress, and a youth that never ages.
Auroville wants to be the bridge between the past and the future. Taking advantage of all discoveries from without and from within, Auroville will boldly spring towards future realisations. Auroville will be a site of material and spiritual researches for a living embodiment of an actual Human Unity.
Auroville is home to around 4500 residents from 67 different countries as of 2021.
